The first Velocite Test Team Syn bike has been built!

Here are some photos of the first Velocite Test Team Syn bike fully built. Of course we built the first bike to make sure that the 4th generation prototype did not introduce new errors (bugs). I am happy to report that it had not and that the assembly progressed without any wtf? moments.

I am thus releived and happy to see the Syn prototypes get delivered ASAP to all of our testers. In fact three have already departed to their new homes, with the remainder getting shipped (hopefully) by the end of the month.

Here are some photos of the Velocite Syn Velocite Test Team v0.4 prototype built with Shimano Ultegra hydraulic (no flat mount yet, sorry). Shifting is smooth and perfect and braking telepathic. The wheels are our versatile multi award winning Venn Rev 35 TCD wheels that also double up as MTB wheels.

    Wow, great build.
The white on matte black has turned out beautifully, understated but with the brand & wheels highlighted nicely.

You should preserve that one for the Velocite museum.
That down tube leading profile is badass.
    Well done everyone.
    (Who’s getting SYN250515000666?)

    • Thanks Tim!

We have several earlier prototypes that are doing various other duties. At least one of them will remain with us to act as a museum piece.

We have yet to reach the v1.0 though. I am hoping that this test of the v0.4 goes well so that we can finally go ahead and make the VEL-SYN-1.0-000001.

Regarding the VEL-SYN-1.0-000666 we shall see 🙂 We may do something special with that one for the impressionable youth (or the young at heart).

And, here is a photo from today’s test ride. It performed very well. Felt very assured and capable. I have no idea where its limits are as they are well beyond what I am capable of doing at the moment. Luckily some of our testers are pretty hardcore.

Stunning bike. No bottles on test rides?

        • 🙂 I ran out of bottle cages. We have 4 Syn bikes built and they used up all the bottle cages that I wanted to use on them.

Looks great! Can’t wait for mine to arrive!

You mean the frame is not flat mount standard or the group set ?
