The first prototype has been built! It looks rather cool, for a prototype. We made a custom frame for the eBike version but we still need to improve the cable routing and some part specs.
The bike rides well, on flat, but tomorrow it will head out to my favourite local trail for some “let’s see what will fall off” testing. I am hoping that any malfunctions do happen tomorrow as that gives us some time ahead of the Taipei Cycle Show to put it all back together.
The plan is to produce a real off-road going MTB, off the shelf so to say. We are not aiming to make yet another “mountain bike” that never leaves the tarmac or carefully maintained singletrack, and we want to do it so that it makes a cohesive, well handling unit that does not require extensive adjustment in terms of riding attitude in order to enjoy it.
