Sneak Peek – Velocite @ Taipei Cycle Show

As Taipei Cycle Show is coming up next Wednesday, let us show you all the fun you can find at the Velocite stand this year:

What’s new?


The new model will have fully internal cable routing, 2-in-1 Di-2 electronic and mechanical shifter compatibility, new graphics and tuned layup to drop 10% of weight but keep the legendary stiffness.

Dark Selene

Dark Selene_Side

The Dark Selene has new decals with matte black finish. It features a PF30 bottom bracket, asymmetric 1.5” head tube,  and forward facing seat post slot. It is suited for short races or criteriums. It allows you to stay as comfortable as you can be.

Flux Alloy

The new generation of Flux is made of aluminium 7005-T6 alloy. It comes with sizes for 26”, 27.5” and 29” wheels – sizes XS and S use 26” wheels, size M uses 27.5” wheels, and sizes L and XL use 29” wheels. The size L frame weighs 1680g. The frame features two-pass welding, and is shot-peened afterward. By doing so, the lifespan of the frame is enhanced. This is the only MTB frame in the world that is shot-peened after welding. Flux Alloy eBike

Every rider who first tried our e-bike is  astonished by how fast it can go. The development of Velocite e-bike is a collaboration with GreenTrans (China Motor Company/Mitsubishi Taiwan division). It is not just a city bike, it is a real MTB that allows you to go off road. When you first start pedaling, the e-bike immediately accelerates you with ease up to 40km/hr. Gram SL

Our carbon/alloy matrix wheelset, Gram SL weighs just 1350g, with unprecedented 110kg
rider weight limit. Another feature of the Gram SL wheels is  that we use 27 aero spokes for the rear and 20 aero spokes for the front wheel, which help deliver class leading power transfer and handling. The Gram hub is self-serviceable and features a minimal part count.

RT 50 – Full carbon road tubeless clinchers are one of the only few carbon road tubeless clinchers that are available in the market now. Victor will explain it’s design, construction and aerodynamic technology at the new products session at the show at the 6F outdoor balcony at 11:30 – 11:50 a.m. on March 21.

What’s fun?

Aerodynamics simulations in real time

We’re working with Acer and NCKU on an aerodynamics research project. Since it is hard to explain how the magic of aerodynamics works, we decided to bring the real-time computational fluid dynamic simulations to the show. We will also demonstrate other simulation applications on a 65-inch monitor (Thank you, ACER). You will get a chance to see how a  supercomputer does all these tricks for us (Thank you, Acer and NCKU, again) – not just from the huge 65-inch monitor, but also from a tablet.
